Well, if you ever want to learn switching, you don't need a guide for that since people here can help
Kitkat and destin helped me, and i switched instantly
people know how to switch
a developed tulpa can switch at any moment, but the usual methods for learning to switch are just distracting and disrupting
they just need to realise they can
I think of switching as just a stronger version of possession because we never tried to do switching. Possession just turned into switching eventually ♂️
it was the case for me too. But switching is not advanced possession. In a sense it's opposite, going from possession to switching you have to unlearn unnecessary dissociation.
We basically just do "headmate has intention to do something"
"Thing is done"
"headmate did thing"

Because of how i learned it

Basically while lynn was still "non vocal" (parrotnoia) i would essentially use myself as a base for her(basically roleplay as her)
Alexia

If you do that you’ll find that the majority of daily tasks do not require any specific personality and you’ll feel like your on autopilot all the time. Which is weird
You don't have to have a sense of self to be able to focus on something consciously. Actually, focusing on something can lead to dissociation, not just from identity.
Hi, I have a question about tulpa's.
If you leave them to form their own personality, would they share some similar traits with the host? And could those similar traits be harmful?? (e.g. manipulative tendencies)
If so, Is there any chance a tulpa could turn on you though? Like if they are manipulative (let's use the example i gave above), could they end up manipulating their host??
A tulpa is just another person in your brain. They likely won't intentionally harm you, since its not in their best interest to do so. You share your brain and body, so intentionally going out of your way to hurt it hurts them in turn.

You don't have to give them a personality. Whether or not they end up being similar to you or different probably won't be influenced on whether you give them personality traits to start off with, or not.
Well, you won't know what kind of personality they'll end up with, but it's not really likely they'll cause you trouble. Treat them with kindness and respect, understand that you share a brain and it's important to get along. Also, they're not going to be able to secretly think things behind your back or anything
